Youth Sexual Health Clinic:
A nurse practitioner and a Public Health Nurse are available to provide anonymous HIV testing, birth control counselling, including options and prescriptions, pregnancy counselling, sexually transmitted infections testing, and treatment for STDs. This project provides peer education, informal counselling and workshops on HIV/AIDS awareness and prevention.Rising Sisters:
The Rising Sisters Program is a social program that educates, empowers and supports young women and their children. The program provides workshops which include topics such a sexual health, peer nutrition, parenting skills, furthering education, and money management. This program services approximately 25 women and 30 children on a weekly basis. Rising Sisters works in partnership with the Rexdale Community Health Centre and the YMCA Employment Services.The group meets on Wednesday from 5-7 p.m. at the Rexdale Community Health Centre, 8 Taber Rd., Etobicoke
