Employment Counselling
Assessment & Case Management Services:
Provides youth an opportunity to meet with counselors who help them develop an individualized employment action plan based on their interests and agreed upon objectives. Youth are provided access to various programs to help them achieve their employment and training goals.
You can access the following employment counselling services by visiting our centre:
YOUTH ASSESSMENT PROGRAM:Career and employment program to help youth between the ages of 15 - 30 find and keep jobs. Participants, with the help of an employment counselor, will develop an Employment Action Plan, that provides them with career development tools and access to job development assistance. Emphasis is placed on clients who are, or have received, E.I. (current or in the past 3 years. 5 years if you have received Parental Benefits) JOB CONNECT:
This program offers career and employment preparation to help youth between the ages of 16 - 24 find and keep a job. Components of the program include employment counselling and job development, which provides a training subsidy to employers who hire participating youth. SUMMER JOB SERVICES:
The Summer Jobs Service runs each year from April to the end of August.
We also offer most services at the MicroSkills Youth Centre, Monday to Thursday 1-4 p.m.
